Short set of notes this month. The pictures tell the story of how the CGA 83 crowd spent CG Day 2001. It was a fun outing and now a month later most of us have recovered from the carpal tunnel created by flipping 1,283 burges and 830 hotdogs. Here are some pictures:

| Karl Calvo tried his hand at cooking, and Kristy Plourde was there to help out too...hard to miss out on a good Z-burger. |
One update from DC correspondent and class webmaster Charlie Jager. Charlie reminds everyone that they may want to take a moment to update their contact information on the class web site, and especially so as a means for staying in touch after leaving the Coast Guard.
Charlie relayed a note from Greg MacGregor.
"I left TRACEN Petaluma in April 2000. At that time I started my new job with TyCom LTD in Morristown, NJ. Our company runs fiber optic cable undersea from continent to continent. I'm in the Civil Engineering section, and responsible for the Design and Construction of the Cable Stations at the landing sites, and the Telecommunication Hotels we build in major cities. It's a fun job with a lot of travel. I'm currently managing 4 projects in the U.K. and 2 in France.
I also got married in April of 2000. My wife is Diana Abele (she kept her maden name). She is a native Californian, but is actually enjoying rural New Jersey quite a lot.
It was a busy time for us: new job, bought a new house, moved across the country, and got married all within a few months. I'm still enjoying my job, the international construction and the travel. It's quite challenging and fun."
Congratulations Greg and best wishes to you and Diana.
Want to hear more about classmates - give a shout and we'll print it out. Keep the faith and go 83!
